Checon Launches New Initiative

Checon is pleased to announce the appointment of William H. Balme to the newly created position of Vice President of Marketing and Engineering. His face may be familiar to many of our customers since he has been involved in the precious metal industry since the 1980’s; and associated with Checon since 1994, first as Vice President of Sales & Marketing and most recently, as Vice President of Engineering.

Building on the momentum of the recent completion of a new facility in North Attleboro, MA, Checon has launched an initiative to expand both our product line and market share in new and evolving business sectors. “The success of this initiative requires that we direct the development efforts toward specific market needs – and Bill’s experience uniquely qualifies him to drive this effort forward,” said Allen Conaway, Checon’s President.

Sharing the “front end” of this new effort is Steve Carter, in the expanded role of Applications Engineering and Sales; and Paul Thomsen, Checon’s Sales Manager, charged with the development of key account management.
