In-Press Welding is a very fast and efficient one-step method to produce smaller contact assemblies as used in wiring devices, appliances and small industrial controls. Utilizing the lowest cost raw material form (wire) and sophisticated mid-frequency power supplies facilitating rapid welding rates, wire welding offers the lowest cost manufacturing method for smaller contact assemblies.

Where weld resistant materials are to be employed for some of the heavier duty applications, silver metal oxides can be welded using this In-Press method to produce reliable tape welded assemblies with enhanced bond areas. Unique weld monitoring technology through both electronic and mechanical routes ensures the quality of the interface between contact material and substrate.
