A newcomer to Checon at the close of 2022, Lesley Smith is our Human Resources Manager with over twenty-five years of experience in the manufacturing and financial services industries. She is responsible for employee relations, recruiting and retention, compensation and benefits administration, HR records management, policy development, performance management, training and development, coaching, and leadership.                                                                                

Lesley excels as a communicator and motivator, with a strong background in various HR generalist and business partner roles. Her passion for building solid relationships with employees contributes to her ability to create a positive and productive work environment.  

A University of Rhode Island graduate, Lesley resides in Cumberland, RI, where she enjoys the beautiful scenery and spending time with her family. She enjoys travel, trying new restaurants, and extended visits with her new grandchild in her free time.
